I have a 1947 Bentley.
I just finished driving it a short distance and the transmission locked up between reverse and 2nd. The shift lever has one rod into trans.
Can anyone suggest a link to view the internal parts of the trans?
Any suggestions why it locked up and how to get it unlocked?

I can be pretty confident that you will find the problem is in the linkage, and not the transmission. My MK 6 used to do this. I hate to admit it it. but I actualy cut a hole in the floor board to acces the top transmission cover before I figured out what was really wrong.
Unfortuantely, you may have to do that or drop the transmission to get it back into neutral. At least, with a hole in the floorboard, I could use a large screw driver stuffed through the removable cover on the top of the transmission to get it unlocked. I actually got pretty good at doing this until I eventually figured out that a shim in the bearings at the shifter end of the linkage took the slop out of it, causing it shift right. It's been OK for 20 years since that modification.
Bentley Mark 6's are great cars that few people take the time to apreciate.
