I have a 1964 Plymouth Valiant that has been in my family since my grandfather bought it new in '63. Though I'm very reluctant to part with it, I find I'm driving it less and less and have fewer and fewer reasons to hold on to it. It is in good shape with some cosmetic flaws (inside and out) and a little rust but runs great. About 125K miles. 4-door, slant 6, pushbutton transmission, white w/red interior. I've had some brake work done on it in the past year or two.

Anyway, I'm considering selling it (or perhaps swapping for a pickup) in the next year or two and was wondering if anybody had any idea what the value of this car might be. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds to me like the car is a condition 5 in 'Old Car price Guide' group of condition categories. They only provide values for Valiants in conditions 1 - 4. In condition 4, they show a 4-door sedan value of $1,600. If they listed condition 5, it would probably be around $1,000 or less. You can also look on the following links (be sure you don't over-rate the car!): www.nadaguides.com www.hemmings.com www.manheimgold.com
