Many thanks to the guys who replied to my question. I've decided to risk it on Premium Unleaded, a fairly high octane juice, but still much cheaper than Leaded[which is reputedly going to be unavailable after Y2K]. I like the idea of running on AVGAS though, when new the engine put out 375 horses and is still pretty potent today. Even for a big bird like the Caddy this gives a pretty smart set off from the stand when I hit the loud pedal, I should imagine running on 100+ octane motion lotion it will frighten the hell out of the 1.6 - 2litre injected shopping trolleys that abound on this side of the Pond. I'm not a regular traffic light racer, but it's nice to embarass on of these front wheel drive 'hairdressers' buzz boxes every once in a while, and then get back to some regular cruising.

Many thanks to you all.

Exactly. Why steer with the wheel when 'right foot steering' is so much more enjoyable?

Did you have fun cutting doughnuts in the Kmart parking lot this winter, Nipper?

Nope. Not enough snow. What happened to that 'rough' winter we were supposed to get in the N.E.?
