I have been conned by this ebay vendor. I won an auction with a bid of 20 dollars and received a 50 cent substandard photocopy.

He is passing off photocopies of original Lucas Manuals.

This is fraud and copyright infringement.

You have been warned!!!!!!

Kurt,

Thanks for the input. I agree entirely with your comments regarding old manuals. They should be available to assist in keeping our classic cars on the road. I am also of the opinion that copyright infringement is not an issue when there is no profit to be made.

In my case the vendor described the item as a 'New Manual' deliberately misleading prospective bidders and omitting to say that it was a photocopy.

I would not have continued to bid to the amount of 22 Dollars for a substandard photocopy.

I hope eBay kicks this guys a**

In answer to your question why did I not accept a refund. It was Mark Rossel that refused to send me a refund until I had returned the goods at my own expense. Then he declared that he would deduct all charges from the refund.

Let me assure you that I did not refuse a refund.

I was agreeable to a full refund of the money I had paid. To end the matter speedily and put it behind us, I agreed to send the goods back at my own expense after I had received a full refund.

It was Mark Rossel that refused this offer. I was suprised considering he was the one in the wrong describing a photocopy as a new manual.

If you have been told otherwise then it is just one more lie to add to all the others.

Perhaps Mark should try an explain the negative feedback that he received on the sale of the XKE bonnet (hood) or the TR sump! I have emails from both buyers and it makes for interesting reading.

The guy is a fraudster, a liar and a cheat.

I am still awaiting my money. Until I receive it I will continue telling everyone that will listen of this guys trading practises.
