Can you identify this one ?

Hi there folks,

Time for some fun. My name is Hennie Rautenbach and I live in Pretoria in South Africa. I'm a *big* detroit iron junkie, but there are very few of them around. Have owned a couple of these beasts meself. Most recent one was a 1974 Pontiac LeMans 350'.

While on holiday over December 2000 I took a picture of the wreck in the URL below. It is probably an easy shot, but lets see. What year, make and model have we in the picture ?

I am guessing 'Strato Chief'. My uncle had a 59 Pontiac Strato Chief and it looked like this.

1959 GM car. From what I can see, I think Chevrolet. This can be verified by tailights shaped like cat eyes.

1959 Pontiac Catalina, chrome strip on back fender sweeps to bottom, Chevrolets had a straight chrome strip.

If you truly want to know go back and take a picture of either the front or rear of the vehicle, better yet open up the drivers door and write down the serial number. I think you know what it is and took the picture from that angle where it can not be distinguished on purpose to see how many 'hits' you get.
