Would it effect the results if I squirted penetrating oil in all the cylinders and then done a compression test? I have sprayed pentetrating oil in the cylinders a few weeks ago and have since turned the engine over. However the engine probably hasn't turned over 50 times since I sprayed the cylinders., and I haven't attempted to start it. I want to do a compression test on the cylinders, and since the engine will have to spun over numerous times I was wondering if the results would be effected. Thanks for your time, Tom

I do not think the oil would affect test results in any way. Dave

You will definitely get higher readings after pre oiling cylinders. Run engine to clean out oil and then take readings!!
