HI.
It is quite hard to find information on the Davis car. The George W. Davis Motor Car Company had quite a short life - about 20 years (1908-1929) and then was bought by the Automotive Cooperation of America.
Since the Davis was an assembled automobile - and the Automotive Cooperation of America was looking for a Car in which to put its new parking device - called the park mobile. (basically an extra set of smaller wheels and an hydraulic lift that would raise the car and the smaller wheels would drive it sideways into parallel parking.
Within less than a year, Williams, of the Automotive Cooperation of America was broke and evicted.
What is it exactly that you wanted to know?

I have davis cars and am interested in knowing how many are still around and where they are. I am always looking for parts, literature and even cars. Would like to start a davis group.

I have in mind one person who might know, as he is a fountain of knowledge in all things to do with antique cars. In the mean time - why don't you post some pictures and maybe another owner will see them you never know.

I wrote to Philip Powell asking if he would be able to help and he sent me this reply
You can find everything you need to know about the Davis (including a photo and the numbers built and remaining) at this link:

I hope this is of assistance to you.
Let us know how it panned out...

O I read that link and thought that something was strange...
Sorry... I will ask around again.
The interesting thing is that when I wrote to Philip, I sent him the link to the question, and he really is a fountain of information - so that fact that even he got confused and gave you information on the wrong Davis is interesting. (not very helpful but interesting )
