I have a 318 A-727 Dodge Demon that I am debating swapping in a 360 A-833. I am wondering if there is anything in particular I should be worried about with this swap. I have been told that the engine mounts might need to be changed, is this correct? Also from my understanding most 318 stuff will work with a 360. Is this also correct? Any other swap information/tips you can provide would be appreciated!

I'm not clear on one thing- is this an automatic car that you're converting to manual, or are you just swapping a 360 in place of a 318?
If its just the engine swap, get the correct motor mount for a 360 and it will be a bolt-in. Also use a 360 flywheel, because a 318 uses a neutral-balance flywheel and a 360 does not. All the accessories (alternator, power steering, etc.) from a 318 are direct bolt-ons with a 360.
If you are talking about putting an 833 in place of a 727 as well as changing engines, then its tougher. You need, among other things:
-a shifter and floor tunnel mods -correct length driveshaft (and different yoke if it was a 904 behind the 318, a 727 uses the same yoke as an 833) -Clutch/brake pedal setup from a standard tranny A-body -Firewall mods for clutch linkage -Z-bar linkage pivot point welded to the unibody -LA block bellhousing
Its very doable, but a lot more involved than just an engine swap.

Very easy swap except like someone else posted, you'll need to do extra to get the man trans in it. I am in the process of planning a 360/727 RWD in a '93 v6/5speed Daytona trying to keep it street legal and stock looking.It's probably not going to happen for atleast the next 20 years because maybe by then this car will be exempt from smog check in California.
