I've sold parts that way with no problems, but am in the middle of a parts sale that looks like it isn't going to work out, and i'll lose a bit of travel expenses. I am also trying to sell my '40 Chevy on the net. I've talked to a few cyber-tire-kickers, and a few good honest people who just weren't interested. (hell, one guy tried to talk me down without even seeing pics or asking questions) I am always as honest with people as I expect from them. if they want a certain pic of a certain part, I send one, or if they ask about rust, I photograph it all and send it. the last thing I want is someone to travel to here, and go away Angry. The most important thing is put yourself in their shoes, and BE HONEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will see everything, at one time or another, so don't mis-represent what you have.

You sound like a good guy, William. I bought a classic car on ebay recently. The distance was somewhat of a barrier but the seller was willing to truck the vehicle to my door. It worked out well. I found his definition of 'no rust' differed slightly from mine, but all is well.
