Check the newspaper and call some realtors. Also, cruise around town and see if there are any rent signs up. Find out how strict the laws and regs are, and how tolerant the neighbors are.

I always seem to see a lot of old cars when driving through small towns. I was just up in Connecticut, and saw a bunch. It would seem to me that a historic would like to have some historic cars around, so someone has to work on them.

Good luck,

OK, perhaps a bone-headed question, but here goes...

I currently rent and have no garage space. Also, the town in which I live (Marblehead, MA), is quite an old/historic town with virtually no available garage space. Currently my restoration project is in a relative's garage about an hour away. What I want is a garage to rent in perhaps a surrounding town. They do exist, but it seems that they all have the policy of not being able to work on your car there - only store it.

Certainly someone has found a creative solution to a similar problem? Any ideas, (or if anyone reading this lives near Marblehead, MA and wants to rent me a space in their garage...)...?

Maybe you should consider moving someplace where everyone doesn't want to mind everyone else's business and protect you from yourself.
