** FS: Nice, Never Wrecked, 1974 Plymouth Valiant **

- '74 Plymouth Valiant.. - 4 door.. - nicely weathered gold with nice, clean, white vinyl top.. - 1 original owner.. - NEVER BEEN WRECKED.. - 126,000 original miles.. - cruise control - a/c - bench seats.. - re-built slant-6 engine with 50k on it.. - all fluids replaced (engine, transmission, brakes, differential, cooling system).. - complete tune-up with new wires, plugs, cap, rotor and points.. - new filters.. - new voltage regulator.. - new ballast resistor.. - new alternator.. - most mechanical/emissions parts have been replaced.. - includes: original owner's manual, purchase receipt, repair receipts for recent work done, original set of paint-chips for '74 model year and NOS shop manuals for mechanical and body work..

* very nice looking, straight, clean and collectible car.. * currently has a 'non-operative permit'.. * needs tires.. * starts and runs smoothly, drives well (everything works), but, when completely warmed-up, stalls.. most likely a simple fix- just need to diagnose..

** reason for selling: moving overseas, don't have time to diagnose why stalls and need to sell..

Why would slant 6 with only about 80k need a rebuild? This is perhaps one of the MOST rugged engines known to man and should go at least 200k without a 'build'. Larry

Good question. I had to dump my perfectly running '75 Dart with the Slant 6 at 135k miles due to a broken K-member weld that rendered the right-hand front suspension pretty useless. Being in college at the time, I couldn't ante up the funds to replace the entire crossmember assembly. Plus, we had an extra vehicle sitting in the driveway.

Still, the motor didn't use any oil and ran smooth as day one when I sold
