I am trying to find a liquid that can be used in an old 1928 Pontiac Fuel Guage that shows the fuel level. Anyone have any thoughts?

Years ago I saw an article on how to repair that type of fuel gauge. I think it was in Skinned Knuckles. I can't remember any of the details and it will take me a long time to search the indexes.

In the meantime, if you go to http://www.aaca.org/ and follow the link to their discussion forum I am sure that somebody there can get you an answer within a day.
