I purchased a $6 6 volt turning indicator flasher from National Chevy Association, for my 46 Willys Jeep, last month. I asked them at the time of purchase if it could be sent VIA air mail to keep shipping charges down. The woman I spoke with on the phone told me they only ship VIA ups, I figured what the heck, UPS ground for a item that weighs all of 2 ounces couldn't be that much, so I ordered it. Well I received the turning indicator flasher, all of 2 ounces in weight, and was horified to see that they charged me $38 for shipping. I am in Canada, but for $38, I could mail myself to Florida. I called them up and asked them what gives, I asked them would you buy something for $6 and pay $38 for shipping, I told them I think not. They told me they would try and give me some kind of refund, but that was over a month ago and I have heard or seen nothing yet. In my many purchases from all over the U.S. for the restoration of my 46 Willys, I have payed plenty for shipping, but this won takes the cake. I got a windshield frame, including glass, from a fellow in CO andit only cost me $50 for shipping VIA UPS, me think something stinks over at National Chevy Association.
Beware of National Chevy asssiociation, they will burn you bad on shipping.
