- What do you consider a Serious Inquiry? - At 60,000 miles there *has* to be some wear on the car. - -1966 Ford Galaxie 500 LTD Fair Good Exc. - 4D Hardtop 289cid 200hp $625 $1,150 $1,250 - Hate to break it to you, but this car is not what one would call collectable. - I tried to look at the JPG... I can get to your page fine, but it keeps saying that the /ltd66.JPG does not exist. - - -

According to 'Old Cars Price Guide', Feb '98 issue: '66 Galaxie LTD, 4d HT, V8, 119' wb, range in price from $350 for a parts car to $8000.00 for one in #1 show condition! I guess it all depends what you like.

- 1) your price guide is out of date. Pick up a more current one 2) what engine did the price guide say? 3) The prices I give come from a variety of sources, from Old Cars Price Guide, Manheim's Gold Book, Car Dealers, For Sale advertisements, Kelly Blue Book, etc.... - As far as what *I* like, my preferences have little to do with it when I look up a price or value. - Personally, after I got the page with the pictures to load (must have been a network problem when I tried last time) I think it is a good looking car. Unfortunately it is just a '66 Ford. Lots of these still around so the collectable value is low. Now in 20 years or so, that may be different. - - -
