Can someone give me a hand on finding information on what I believe was a British or English car. I am not sure of the spelling, but it was pronounced Del-a-hay.

If someone could point me to a website with these cars, I would greatly apprciate it.

Well to help you out the correct spelling is Delahaye and they were a French firm. The firm started producing brick making machinery in 1845. Emile Delahaye branched into car making in 1894. They were first based in Tours and later, from 1906 to 1954, in Paris. They merged with Hotchkiss in 1954 and only made trucks after that. after 1956 the trucks only bore the name Hotchkiss as well.

There is a Delahaye Club website at www.delahaye.asso.fr/accueilclub. Thats the only one I turned up on a quick search. I shall probably see them at Retromobile Expo in Paris next month.

Hope this helps.
