My '66 RR was painted this past summer by a complete moron. I can't afford to have the car re-done just yet, but was wondering about some issues I'm having, and if there are fixes. First, it appears that after the car was painted it was left outside in the rain - partly my fault, because by the time the car was completed our relationship had broken down so the guy no longer gave a damn. There are few bubbles in the paint, and it remains unbuffed. Is some sort of temporary repair of this possible? Will simply sanding down this paint and going over it work, or will I again have to sound down to bare metal? Second, any tips for removing paint from the rubber trim, chrome, wood, and tires (hey, I *said* he was a moron). I've been scared to try anything for fear of making it worse, but I'm also getting sick of seeing the car this way... Emanuel

Go to the message board at http://www.autobodystore.com/cgi-bin/config.pl? If you give them the facts (including the type of paint that was used they will be able to give you details on how to repair the problem.
