I'm going to be building a larger engine for my 67 Camaro this winter. The original 327 runs real strong but the rings are really starting to wear. I race it occasionaly and it currently runs 13.25/108 in the quarter mile with a small shot of nitrous and high 13s/100 with no nitrous.
To help fund the new engine I'm considering selling the 327 short block. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a market out there for used 327 short blocks. Everybody wants to build a 350, 383 or 400 nowadays.
I know purists will say to hold onto the original engine, but the original rear and tranny are long gone, and the car is now painted a different color and so on. Since it's not an SS or Z/28 I never worried much about originality.
Also, I was thinking of trying to sell it on ebay, but I can't see shipping an engine. I'd also like to advertise now and let potential buyers go for a ride and see how well it runs even with worn rings. I figure it'd be an easy sell if I could get someone to go that far.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Gordon, The 327 is still some what popular among the Street Rod crowd, at least here in Southern Cal. I have one in my 28 Model A and it does fine. Advertise locally or E-bay and they pay shipping and crating charges. Good Luck, Towd Dude
