I am looking for a mechanic to work on my 1966 Cadillac Deville Convertible. Anyone know of a good mechanic in the South SF bay area? I live in San Jose, but willing to travel to someone good. Trustworthy, honest, familiar with cadillacs would be a plus .

If you don't know of anyone, any suggestions on how to find someone?

Thanks,

The best place to go is to take it to your caddy dealer and see if the guys look it over. If they do, let them work on it. Old cars do have a tendency to get good work done at the dealer.

It's been my experience that at a typical dealership they have no more experiece with any 15+ year old car than they do with a new competitors car.

I'd check with local classic caddie clubs that can recommend a place.
