Where do I find the VIN number on a 1937 Chevrolet Master Town Sedan? The number on the title looks nothing like any number I can find!

Thanks,

Look on the cowl, Passenger side, under the hood and on the outside of the cowl facing out as you stand next to the car. It is on the GM plate that tells the year and body style. You should see 37-#### at the top of the plate.

The vin is towards the bottom and is stamped lightly on. It may be hard to read if the plate is weathered.

Hopefully it matches or someone has swapped the titles or plates.

Good luck
