I need to buy an engine stand to hold the 430 cu. in. engine from my 1962 Lincoln Continental. I am going to have to rebuild it, and I have found an engine stand with 750 lb. capacity. Will this be sturdy enough to hold the engine for an extended period of time?

It will hold that engine indefinitely, time is not a factor. Check to see that it has the necessary attachments to fasten to you engine. 750 pounds is probably very close to the weight of you engine, but this sort of eqpt usually has a factor of safety not less than 2. Ben Neiman
