I have a '49 Ford that's chopped 4' and someone told me to check some forien car parts places. Maybe somthing off of a MG midget or something similar may work?

Did you try Kanter Auto Parts in Boonton NJ? Ther're the largest Packard parts supplier in the world.

You can use the longer blades although the load on the wiper motor will be heavier. Place the excess blade length towards the driving

Check with NAPA. Theres some early Jeeps that use a 10' wiper blade thats just a straight blade.
