What is it like to drive a World war two Jeep? And to drive it in todays modern traffic? I heard these Jeeps would run backwards one foot before they go forwads in first gear.

Are the Jeeps fun? How well do they corner? Do they have a V engine or an inline 4?

Get a roll bar and put roller skates on top.You have a 75% chance of rolling one attempting any corner above 20mph. They are very scary to drive over 45mph but your chance of rolling it drops to 50% driving straight and oh yeah, they don't drive straight. Wolfman Morehead Ubangi, Ubetcha

I heard these vehicle didn't drive over about 20 mph duign service (WWII) and the German's knew it. My understanding is they had the math down for lobbing explosives at these things considering the top expected speed of 20 mph. I read an article in an old 1040's popular mech that told of a certain driver that did a suspension modification to lower the vehicle. He was able to save is posterior several times by driving the jeep faster than the German's were able to compensate with gunnery.

Just FYI
