I have a 1968 auto I wish to register in MD using a YOM plate. Do I need a plate with expiration of 3-1-68 or 3-1-69? I'm assuming a 1968 plate has the expiration in 1969 yet all plates adverised with 3-1-68 date are labeled 1968 plate. If I put a 3-1-69 plate on my car it defeats the purpose of YOM dating. I have a real nice set of 3-1-68 plates but I have a feeling they will not be accepted at the DMV...

They'll accept them as display plates, but you need to keep the Historic plates in the car.
